In April of 2019, Bartholomew Estate Winery opened its doors, a brand new winery in the heart of Bartholomew Park in Sonoma Valley. The winery and tasting room are located in the historic, newly renovated, mission-style building originally built in 1922. Steps away are the mesmerizing outdoor tasting grounds, on a timeless Oak Knoll, where guests can enjoy the breathtaking views of the organic vineyards while enjoying the estate wines.

The winery was formed by Anna Pope, as Trustee of the Frank H. Bartholomew Foundation (owner and operator of Bartholomew Park), and noted Winemaker, Kevin Holt, to honor the legacy of the Frank and Antonia Bartholomew. After many years of living on this beautiful property, in an act of great generosity, the Bartholomews established a trust (named the Frank H. Bartholomew Foundation) to protect and preserve it after they were gone.  Their creation of the 375-acre private park, open to the public at no charge, was, and remains, a gift to the community. Bartholomew Estate Winery was created to ensure that the Bartholomews’ commitment to this magnificent place lives on today, focusing on the creation of the most exquisite wines possible from this iconic location (it’s the birthplace of California viticulture), sharing information on California winemaking and viticulture with all those who visit, and supporting Bartholomew Park, as the incomparable community treasure it is. Today, all profits from wine sales received by the foundation (as co-owner of the winery) go directly to support the park.
